Welcome, new patients

Here is everything you need before your first visit. Have a question we did not answer? Call (303) 766-8811 and a real person will pick up.

Your first visit

  1. Book. Request a time online or call. We will confirm by phone and, if you like, verify your insurance before you arrive.
  2. Arrive 15 minutes early. Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of medications. Paperwork is quick and done in the office.
  3. Exam and X-rays. Dr. Wolbaum reviews your history, takes digital X-rays (about one tenth the radiation of film), and checks teeth, gums, bite and jaw joints, plus an oral cancer screening.
  4. Cleaning. Most new patients get a professional cleaning the same day unless gum disease calls for a deeper treatment first.
  5. Your plan. You leave knowing exactly what, if anything, needs attention, what it costs, and what can wait.

Insurance and payment

We accept most PPO dental insurance plans and file claims for you electronically. Bring your card and we will tell you what your plan covers before treatment starts. We also take cash, checks and all major credit cards.

Financing with CareCredit

CareCredit lets you spread larger treatments, such as implants or Invisalign, over monthly payments, often with promotional no-interest periods. You can apply online in a few minutes or ask our front desk for help.

No insurance?

Our in-house membership plan covers two cleanings, two exams and routine X-rays for one yearly price, with 10% off other treatment. No deductibles, no waiting periods, no claim forms.

Forms

New patient forms are completed at the office; please arrive a few minutes early. Our Notice of Privacy Practices (PDF) explains how we protect your health information.

Kids and nervous patients

We see children of all ages and keep first visits short and positive. If dental visits make you anxious, say so when you book. We will go at your pace, explain each step, and stop whenever you raise a hand.

Dental emergencies

If you are in pain or have broken a tooth, call us first thing. We hold time every day for patients who need to be seen now. Read more about emergency dental care.
